Analog tape is another medium that deserves some attention. Never intended to last forever people are discovering, sometimes too late, that there old analog masters are no longer playable. Due to the aging process tape can become brittle and or sticky. Care must be taken to save the audio on old masters and in the case of the sticky tapes we receive, we must bake them to drive out the excess moisture. This produces a tape that can be played without sticking to the head allowing us to get the audio into a digital format and preserve it on CD.
